RIPA JODA

About Me

RIPA JODA is an acronym for the four members' names. It represents each member's diverse style and an unbreakable bond between best friends. The members of the group decided early on that they did not want to be a “dime-a-dozen band, so they worked religiously to continue to improve upon themselves. They focused on writing better songs, laying down a foundation centered on goals, a message, an image, and a mission. They would maintain this focus and overcome each challenge to create new music that is undeniable. The group built up a loyal local following in Bradenton, Florida (also home to the legendary band, Crimson Glory) over the past four years releasing rough demos of songs recorded on limited gear with equally limited budgets before finally stepping into a 'real' recording studio (Audio Images, Bradenton, FL) and recording their first full-length CD in late-2004. Feeling ready for the task at hand, the group worked under the tutelage of producers Jon Drenning (a founding member of Crimson Glory) and Mitch Goldfarb (producer/engineer: Crimson Glory, Bon Jovi, Cinderella) in order to create an album that could compare to other classic power metal records they admired. Amplifying their fondness for groups like Godsmack, Disturbed and Sevendust to name just a few. RIPA JODA: Stop, Look and Listen was released for the Florida Market, July 2005, and was immediately recognized as a heavier, more varied, and ultimately superior record than their previous demo recordings, selling nearly 1000 copies in the first month of release! The band has since gained more fans and exposure maintaining an aggressive schedule playing venues with many other unsigned acts throughout Southwest Florida, as well as sharing stages with national acts, such as Soil, (Hed)pe, Static-X, Damage Plan, Drowning Pool, and Cinderella just to name a few. The lyrics conveyed in RIPA JODA's music hits very close to home for singer Paul Beach; from moments of dark introspection, to epics of faith, hope, loss and conviction. And with a live performance that parallels the intensity and emotion of each song, the bands climbs out on a ledge and delivers the goods. RIPA JODA represents the heart of purpose; their driving music is deliberate and focused. They have tempered their fire with creativity and patience and have created something which cannot be broken and is uniquely their own. RIPA JODA is the beginning of something new... Something special, and with dedicated fans, an aggressive, impassioned stage show, an undeniable image and message, RIPA JODA has done more than just test the waters in Florida, they have created a tidal wave that will ultimately reach around the world.
