I have many interests, but my first love is photography. My dream is to one day publish a book of photographs of Ireland. I am completely obsessed with Ireland and all things Irish. Sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong country... I also love board games, bowling (I'm no good), darts (haven't played in years), marine mammals (wouldn't a book of marine mammal photography be great??)... I could go on for days...
I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life.
My musical tastes are wide and varied, with two exceptions. I don't like very much rap, and most country makes me want to vomit. On the other hand, I enjoy rock (all types), some R&B, jazz, classical, and yes, even some opera. I have no problems admitting that the "hair bands" from the 80s and very early 90s are by far my favorites.
I will watch almost any type of movie, although I hate martial arts films. I'm not a huge fan of action films, unless it has a really good plot. Then again, it doesn't take much to entertain me, so my standards may not be as high as some others'. I will watch anything with Viggo Mortensen in it. I love disaster movies (so does my son), dramas, comedies, and, let's face it, I'm a woman, so I love romantic movies. Scary movies are also a favorite, though they don't make many REALLY scary movies anymore...
Prison Break, Two and a Half Men, Amazing Race, American Idol, Survivor, CSI, CSI: NY, Numb3rs, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Hell's Kitchen
The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I currently have about half a dozen books sitting on my dresser waiting for me to get around to reading them.
My dad is my hero. He spent his life working hard to provide for his family, and he was the best grandfather my son could have ever had.
