Eilidh is from Helensburgh on the West Coast of Scotland. She started the fiddle aged six and went on to study Traditional Music Performance at North Highland College then a BA Honours degree in Scottish Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) where she was awarded the Sir Jimmy Shand Scholarship for musicianship.
She is based in Edinburgh and is in great demand as a performer, composer and tutor. She plays in a duo with Mark Neal (www.fiddleguitar.com) and with the band Heeliegoleerie (www.heeliegoleerie.com) who won a Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections in 2006.
