..Born and raised in Singapore to a Chinese Father and Burmese/Caucasian mother, Stephanie has always stood out from the crowd. At the tender age of 5, she began piano lessons and discovered that she had perfect pitch. Although very young, she was ambitious and harnessed the piano and music as a significant part of her life. At age 15, Stephanie and her family moved to New Jersey, where she continued to receive vocal and piano training, and began writing songs. She auditioned successfully as the only freshman soprano in her high school choir, and through a group environment her confidence rose as well as her love of performing. Stephanie enjoyed the spotlight and moved on to become a part of the 'University Singers' at Syracuse University. Although she enjoyed it, her vivacious nature and spirit felt restricted by its set schedule.
She longed for the freedom to sing and write original music and perform on her own. To express this passion, she immersed herself into the music industry in new york city and began working with producers on a solo project, including Seven Aurelius, Fredro Osejo (Murlyn music), Omen from DTP (Disturbing the Peace) and received credit on Lil Kim's album 'The Naked Truth'. Stephanie has also worked with renown songwriter Janice Robinson, Steven Christopher, the Thunderkatz (Universal Motown) , Verse n Sham (Rock City/ Interscope) and continues to impart their influences into her music. With her striking looks and natural raw talent, and having nurtured a pure, live sound that fuses soul, pop and classical instrumentation, Stephanie is a force to be reckoned with.
