I am here for Friends

About Me

Layout made by TopangachickI love cats, fairies, books, learning new things. I like photography and manipulating images (see my fairy album to check out some of my work). I love making jewelry. I love honesty and true, forever friends. And of course, I love my husband and family!

My Interests

I love poetry. Reading, and writing it. I am privileged to be part of a poetry circle of three! Pablo Neruda is one of my favorite poets... Maya Angelou another. I love watching fireflies on warm summer nights, cuddling my cat and reading when it rains. I make quilts and beadwork and scrapbooks and collages. I love to KrEaTe!!!

I'd like to meet:

The Dali Lama, Oprah, Maya Angelou and Wilma Mankiller...

Music:

Alice Marie is one of my favorite musicians. If you haven't heard her music yet you're missing something! Check her out on My Space or her website: [email protected]. Jo Davidson is another talented artist with a magical voice. I also love contemporary country music (Dixie Chicks, etc.). I guess my musical tastes are ecclectic because I also enjoy classical music and jazz sometimes too. Depends on my mood. Oh and Walela. They're a Cherokee trio that rocks! And I love Celtic music (Enya, Jem Moore's hammered dulcimer, etc.). Nora Jones is another fave... a bluesy, soothing voice that calms my soul. But mostly, I play Alice Marie. She's addicting!ALICE MARIE: angels near

From a rockin' "It's Amazing" to the gratitude-filled anthem called "More," GoGirls Music says Angels Near is "one beautiful song after another complete with a stunning voice sure to please any music fan."

Movies:

All time favorites include: First Knight, Dead Poet's Society, I Am Sam, the Harry Potter movies, The Quiet Man.

Television:

Charmed, Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, Battlestar Glactica, Stargate SGI, Stargate Atlantis, HGTV.

Books:

Just finished Memoirs of a Geisha. I loved it. I read voraciously! Some of my all time favorites are: Mists of Avalon (and its sequels) by Marion Zimmer Bradley, the Magic of Recluse series by L.E. Modesitt, Jr., The Elvenbane series by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey, Suspicion of Madness (and its sequels) by Barbara Parker. Isaac Asimov's "I Robot." And of course, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling!

Heroes:

I have lots of everyday heroes... my Dad, who suffered for 17 years with debiliitating, intense pain from heart disease and yet never complained... my Mom, who cared for him and the six of us kids (how I'll never know)... my husband, who protected and served the public for 20 years as a police officer and is "mi corazon." I'm sure I'm leaving people out...
