About Me

I am a local restaurant blogger in Atlanta who also moonlights with a regular 9-6 job (heck- I need some way to pay the check at the end of the night). I am not what you would call a refined food critic. I rarely eat French. I don't do Fois Gras. I have had my last Vegan meal. I appreciate the finer things in life, such as a medium rare 10oz filet with a side of lobster tail. Check out my site- atlantaeats.blogspot.com - to see all my reviews and comments on the Atlanta restaurant scene! On the personal side, I am married to a wonderful woman and have a beautiful little girl that already has me wrapped around her finger. Although I have settled down lately, I still enjoy having a few beers while watching a game.

Lo Lo Lo Lo Lola

Plenty of Room for a Good Downtown Steakhouse

The maitre'd at Room must have known what he was dealing with. Every year, my buddies and I go out for a real "guy's night" of steaks and a Thrashers game- Steaks and Skates we call it. This year, our...

A Slice of NY Heaven at Capozzi’s

One of my biggest pet peeves about Atlanta has been the lack of decent New York-style pizza. As good as the Atlanta dining scene can be, there are a few staples from home- namely pizza and Italian sub...

Tap Gastropub Opens in Midtown

Kevin Rathbun 'Steaks' His Claim Among Carnivorous Elite

Kevin Rathbun has hit a homerun with Kevin Rathbun Steak. It ain't cheap, and it wasn't quick, but boy was it good. Let's start with the space. KRS is almost the anti-thesis of the original Rathbun's....

Not Hip Enough for Fune Sushi

Bert Weiss of Q100 fame recently listed Fune Sushi as one of the best things about living in Atlanta. Bert Weiss also didn't think a free promotion to Six Flags during Spring Break would be too popula...

Small Plates, Smaller Tables at Krog Bar

For a place without a stove, Krog Bar serves some pretty amazing food. But when they say "small plates" they aren't kidding. Lady Steakhead and I met some friends there Saturday, and I tried to warn t...
