Rekoba Sound Label... Contemporary Latin Guitar

About Me

Blue was revived from a sullen corpse at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford early in 1994, and in 1995 was sent to Milan, where he became a guitarist. Made UK debut at The Oxford Zodiac in 2001...Released 8 Nocturnes (2004) and Luna Eterno (2005) and has been priviledged to work recently with Kerry Sanson (Cardiff), Lawson Dando (Incredible String Band), The Master Chaynjis (Bristol) and Andy Lunn with whom the acclaimed jazz duo Satsuma was formed in early 2006. Has played solo in London, Milan, Madrid, Barcelona and New York. Many friendships and associations that have affected his creative life include Tommo, Morgan Silk, Zak Youngman, Fred Hewitt, Michelle Strozykowski, Alistair Kennedy, Kei Kagami, Prof. Chris Willett and many more. (Please forgive me if I've not mentioned you by name...) Will be playing the guitar to lots of new ears and embarking on lots of complex and intangible new adventures on the high seas or up trees... A new album 'Music for Film' was released in December 2006. 'Music for Film' is a project which goes some way to place Blue's original and highly visual guitar sound in a film environment by using short samples of speech to create atmosphere... Rekoba Sound record label releases music by Blue Yates, Satsuma and Arsenio Lubavici... Vintage Latin Guitar Master Arsenio Lubavici signed his archive to Rekoba Sound... The album 'Live in the Barrio'... Tracks 'Romanza' and 'Malaguena' ... WORLD PREMIERE HERE NOW... Please leave a comment about the new tunes... get in touch! [email protected]
