About Me

I like smiling, smiling's my favorite.

You Are Ernie
Playful and childlike, you are everyone's favorite friend - even if your goofy antics get annoying at times.

You are usually feeling: Amused - you are very easily entertained

You are famous for: Always making people smile. From your silly songs to your wild pranks, you keep things fun.

How you life your life: With ease. Life is only difficult when your friends won't play with you! The Sesame Street Personality Quiz

Background Artist:
Trevor Mikula

My Interests

Painting, Gardening (yeah, who would have guessed), and playing with fresh babies.

I'd like to meet:

Stephen Colbert. Paula Deen. Myself when I'm 80.

Music:

So much music... so I'll sum up with my newest addictions- Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, the Feist, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, and Silversun Pickups.

Movies:

Anything political and/or slightly weird. Pan's Labyrinth, Children of Men, V for Vendetta, the Waking Life, A Scanner Darkly... some of my more recent favorites. I don't like wasting 2 hours of my life watching crap.

Television:

I would be insanely lost without The Colbert Report. My Paula Deen and my Rachael Ray. Almost anything on Discovery Health. CSI, but only Las Vegas.

Books:

Chance to Die: The Story of Amy Carmichael, Follow the River, Passion and Purity, His Needs, Her Needs, Passion for the Heart of God, Let the Nations Be Glad!, Mere Christianity, the Pursuit of Holiness, Blue Like Jazz, A Night Without Armor, Anthem, and A Million Little Pieces.

Heroes:

Anyone who achieves contentment by finding joy in the simplest of things.

My Blog

chutes and ladders...

I've lived my life up until about two weeks ago on the premise that everything that has happened to me previously, happened solely to bring me to where I am.  That wherever I perchance to arrive....

restless legs syndrome

In the past two months, I've found myself suddenly cast in the role of an entirely different play, shockingly absent of tragedy. I waited, every second of a year for that moment when he would be home...

I went to the movies with Amber today.  Perhaps I should restart.  I'm not politically-minded at all.  I've never voted, I don't know whether I really am a Democrat or Republican... I d...
