I am a proud parent of three children: Steve, Nick and Cierra. But Nick lost his life in a car accident on January 25, 2004, while riding as a passenger. He was 20 years old and an aspiring rap artist who went by the name of Lil Skandalaz. Hence, my nick name, Mama Skan :-)
I was Nick's manager, as I would always say, "by default" because I was his mother. Now I manage other artists under the name of Lil Skandalaz Camp 314. These talented group of artists are Thurl Qlty, Da Hard Headz, City Boy, Y.E.$ Boyz and Yng Epic.

One day after another
Thoughts take you back
To the loss of a son or brother.
Nick was a friend to many
So animated, excited and real
His light-hearted personality
Let you know he was the real deal.
He was true and loved his people
The kind of person you would want to be around
His laughter was contagious
And from him it would abound.
No, he wasn't perfect
By no stretch of the imagination
None of us are
No matter how we're behaving.
His absence is felt
On a regular basis
Things have surely changed
Just watch our faces.
Like the Weeping Willow tree
With its leaves hanging down
We continue to exist
But without our Nick Brown.
