About Me

Verfremdungseffekt (you can call me V-effeKt) is the solo [for the moment] pursuit of near glaswegian Peter Fleming. With an assortment of hard saved for and borrowed items, he is composing and recording some little ditties based around whatever comes to mind when the fancy takes him. Peter's main weapon of choice is the bass guitar, and he dislikes it when people tell him that the bass should play an entirely subserviant role in a band set up. He firmly believes the instrument can be used as expressively and creatively as it's six string cousin. Having said that, not all V-effeKt material features the bass in a prominent role, if at all. Peter also regularly writes poetry, which may or may not one day feature as lyrics on V-effeKt recordings.
