About Me

So a year ago I finally left Champaign/Urbana (to the surprise of many of my friends) and I'm now living in Gurnee, right across the street from Great America. Why Gurnee? Because I work in Wisconsin but still want to be close to my friends in Chicago and the suburbs. It's nice up there (not as suburb-ish as where I grew up) with a lot of parks and open space.

I think right now is a great time in my life. I have a great job, great apartment and great friends. I'm livin' it up in the city every other weekend and chillin' at home on the others. This summer I plan to spend a lot of time in the city going to the beach, running along the lakefront, and trying to soak up some more of the Chicago culture, as well as enjoying the night life!

The Big Lebowski, Super Troopers, Office Space (doesn't everybody love these three?) The Shawshank Redemption, Big Fish, Willy Wonka and the Chololate Factory (both versions), Dark City, Back to the Future Trilogy, Garden State. This list could go on for quite a while. New favorite comedy: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Oh crap... here comes the fall season.

Books:

Books by Ted Dekker are some of my favorites, the best being "Thr3e." I also am reading different books about the history of Chicago. Right now I'm reading City of the Century by Donald Miller.
