I love music. to me specific music and the periods in which i'm exposed to it become fused together in my memories of the past. so, in that sense music is my cure for nostalgia. i think of the movie "High Fidelity" in which John Cusack's character has his record collection in "chronological" order. the music we listen to today becomes a part of our life's soundtrack. there's music for every mood and just about every event i can think of, you just have to know where to listen.
Way too many to cite. I would recommend any Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarantino film.
Normal favorites would be (and in no particular order) general stations such as comedy central, adult swim, the discovery channel, or the history channel. More probably apply but i don't have a lot of time to watch television.
The value of a good book had escaped me for most of my life. but eventually i realized that a book could offer vast sums of value to you both as an enlightening experience and as a psychological escape, a vacation of sorts. reading is an underated and undervalued asset.
