Byron Shaw Projex

The Jonez, Judge Roughneck. Recognized by the Rocky Mountain News as Denver's Top Male Vocalist. Byron Shaw's resume has garnered more than its fair share of notable line items. But his most impressive undertaking to date may be his solo effort, an eclectic exploration of dub, jazz, funk, hip hop and soul called the Byron Shaw Projex. For this outing, Byron is joined by some of Denver's finest: Kate Shoup and Heather Larrabee on vocals, Kyle Jones on bass, Chad Aman on the ivories, Dave Flomberg on trombone, and Zach Pietlock on drums, in addition to the frequent guest appearance of James Brown sideman Damon Wood on the guitar. The resulting collective is a dervish of soul-shaking groove; a funk junket through years and genres that drifts past only once in a lapis moon...all aboard!
