Rob Russell is Appalachia's Rock and Roll Poet Laureate, with a voice that glides from velvet smooth to sandpaper growl, a wit that begs comparison to John Prine, and a flair for drama that conjures images of The Boss. On top of all that, he was East TN's 2008 Democratic nominee for Congress.
