REVIEWS
An artist that doesn't need a bunch of name brand hired guns to make a powerful statement.
Stave Magazine
Tensheds is a seasoned live performer. He’s a cool customer too, coming across like an ultra-good looking David Gray. Lilting, heartfelt vignettes delivered in a brooding, husky voice. Passion wins hands down over introspection.
FUSE Magazine
His songs certainly share Bob Dylan's lyrical complexity
Phil Bramley - Derbyshire Times
Tensheds is a promising and capable writer
Well meaning earnest balladry... and he does it well

Tensheds, a respectable looking urban boho
Like David Gray when he sold loads of records

Clockwork is a lovely musical reminder that time is all we have, and with this recording, it's really a beautiful thing.
Stave Magazine

Tensheds is 'an experience' and you'll do yourselfe a disservice to not pay attention to his craft

Tensheds Debut album Clockwork is probably the most staggering collection of music to hit our desk here.
The entire album is a masterpiece
Hybridlab
Everyone's life would be a little richer with a teeny bit more melancholy. Luckily, the fantastically named Tensheds serves up more than the recommended daily allowance with his warm, gentle folk music.

folky blues sound synonymous with Bob Dylan. His debut album Clockworks warmly spins those spirited stories of life's ups and downs showing great lyrical depth
Scot Campus Magazine at King Tuts Unsigned Event
With just an acoustic guitar, harmonica and his voice, he produces his stylish and authentic music that dons it's cap to Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Woodie Guthrie
News Of The Noise
The vocal work holds enough strength and originality to keep the listener interested in the overall sound and appeal that is Tensheds. The poetic lyrics and under production further compliment and add charm to this consonance.

DERBYSHIRE TIMES
In the age of digital downloads and vanishing attention-spans, it seems that the days of the album may be numbered. But not if Chesterfield's Tensheds has anything to do with it.
He's just been named winner of the prestigious PRS Foundation & Fopp UK Unsigned award. And he's used his prize of studio funding to cut a four-track EP called Save The Album. Those familiar with his debut full-length release Clockwork will not be shocked by his latest output. Once again it's filled with lonely acoustic guitars, heartache and poignancy. This time, though, there's more of a country feel to the melancholy, as opening track Sell Another Soul demonstrates. It's a gentle lament, with subtle lead licks, that nods in the direction of Ryan Adams and Del Amitri. Flying Cars showcases Matt's fingerpicking skills, while the song's harmonica draws the inevitable - but not unreasonable comparision - with Bob Dylan.
These songs certainly share Mr Zimmerman's lyrical complexity.
The funkier electric number That's Where The Guns Are shows that Matt's not stuck solely in the soul-searching acoustic shed. There are more Dylan echoes here, sounding like Gomez playing Maggie's Farm. Time After Time brings us back to acoustic lamentation, this time with a clear political edge.
Once again, Mr Sheds has delivered a batch of finely-crafted tunes that show why he's an award-winner. Whether he can save the album, well let's wait and see...
