Away From Eden is a Youngstown, Ohio based rock band that was formed in the early summer of 2006. The band's name was derived from the psychological, rather than the spiritual analogies pertaining to the Garden of Eden. After an opportunity to play with Hinder in the late summer of 2006, Away From Eden realized their potential and all five members have become devoted and dedicated to mastering their art. Johnny Grahovac (acoustic guitar, lead vocals) writes most of the lyrics and Kirk Sackela (lead guitar), Lee Ligoure (guitar, backup vocals), Lou Ligoure (bass guitar, backup vocals), and Mike Ezzo (drums) bring them to life with their personal nuances. The variety of depth and styles that each member brings to the band, gives Away From Eden a progressive, pop-rock sound with a melodic, metal edge, leaving you wanting more. The music is innovative and creative, with heavy chord progressions, powerful lyrics,shredding yet soulful guitar solos, and complex drumming.
