I actually hate myspace…or at least the pages I run across with pointless, meaningless messages. Like a relationship after MERELY a year…myspace and I have developed that “love-hate†relationship. I guess this space has allowed me to express myself through visual means and maybe more importantly…helped me to reconnect and stay in touch with my friends. As we all know…blood is thicker than water…but you need water to survive. I think I’m finally grasping that concept. Being one of many, many siblings has, at times, given me the false perception that friends weren’t that important. Well that couldn’t be further from the truth. I moved to ATL at 17 to attend Clark Atlanta University and I fell in love with the city and my school immediately. Coming from a small town in Indiana to “Black Hollywood†(as I like to call it) exposed me to a different breed of people, culture, and knowledge. Atlanta has introduced me to fashion, the restaurant experience, the club scene (maybe a little too much at times), M.A.R.T.A., expressways, f**ked up traffic, life long friendships, heartbreak and LOVE. I strive for excellence…not perfection. I am intrigued by socially conscious people. Although I am an advocate for higher education…I also believe that some of the most intelligent and intriguing people on this planet do not hold degrees. I want to be known as GREAT one day. Not necessarily famous or widely known…just GREAT. You know…A great mother, a great wife, a great friend, a great motivator, a great scholar…or very simply…a great person.
