About Me

A 20+ year music industry veteran , Patrick Grueber has spent his entire adult life amongst and in love with music .Patrick was fortunate enough to have come of age during the early days of Punk Rock. Seeing The Clash in Detroit in 1978 inspired his career choice, and it wasn't long after that he moved to Chicago and immersed himself in the Midwestern music scene, which was exploding with the likes of Husker Du , Articles Of Faith, Soul Asylum, and many othersIn 1987 he joined the radio promotion staff of Reprise Records , where he spent the next fourteen years . During his time at Reprise he was actively involved in helping break Green Day , The Replacements, The Depeche Mode, The B-52's , Faith No More, Wilco and Chris Isaak ... to name just a few.During the last half of the 1990's , Patrick's fascination with the burgeoning Internet music space grew. In 1999 he helped launch Smartley - Dunn Solutions with their first client , Wilco . SD's work guiding the online strategy for Wilco's masterpiece Yankee Hotel Foxtrot , was a milestone in creativity, and establishing dedicated online fan community.In 2001 , Patrick was recruited to join the promotion staff of the newly formed Artist Direct Records by Artistdirect.com founder Marc Geiger, where he was fortunate to be involved with developing artists Badly Drawn Boy , and Custom .In December 2004 Patrick was integral with signing Quietdrive to Epic Records. Quietdrive's Epic debut is scheduled for summer 2006 .Patrick currently works for Apple as a Business Consultant
