Music is what excites me! I can hear a song and totally imagine the band recording it, or be taken back to sometime in my past, or close my eyes and just zone out. Obviously, I'm a drummer so I'm interested in drumming, too. I love having a family; my wife and kids are awesome. Seeing live music is a favorite pastime. My first concert was KISS in 1985 at the Scope, and I went to a million shows at the Boathouse and the Peppermint when I was in high school. Support your local music scene (especially if I'm in the band!). I do wish I could hang with my good friends more, though. Life is busy...
I can't imagine how anybody could be cooler than the people in my family. Some of the freaks in this country need to meet us, instead of the other way around.
Almost any music rocks. I really love the music of my teenge years, cuz that's when music seemed the most important to me. Classic Alternative, College Rock, umm... whatever wasn't Michael Jackson and Wham! in the 80's. I love The Cure, old REM, U2, Guadalcanal Diary, The Pixies,The Smithereens, Fugazi, Gang of Four!!!, The Alarm. Original punk and skatecore music like JFA, The D.K.s, Agent Orange, The Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies and C.O.C. The fact that people actually have the nerve to call Hawthorne Heights and Yellowcard punk makes me want to wretch. Green Day is still reppin' the punk ideals, if not the lifestyle, so they count. Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Ben Folds, Dada, Toad(I'm serious, stop it), Pearl Jam, etc. etc. ad infinitum.... I discovered Bob Marley late, but now when I hear a reggae song I'm instantly transported to Jamaica where Tory and I honeymooned. Awesome how music can do that, yes? I totally love a late 90's band from D.C called The Dismemberment Plan. Never saw them, though. Band I most wish I could have seen while they were together? The Police, of course. Duh. Lovin some Editors, Incubus, Deftones, Hum, DMB, Tool, A Perfect Circle . I could go on forever. Suffice it to say I love music. Mostly rock, but I'm no music snob.
Pulp Fiction, Se7en, Full Metal Jacket, The Princess Bride, The Holy Grail, The Village, anything fun or depressing and thought-provoking. Not much of a blockbuster summer movie extravaganza type of guy. Kinda hard to watch movies at home with the kids, and the only movies I see at the theater are cartoons, uh, sorry, animated features.
Hockey (Detroit Red Wings), college football (Michigan Wolverines) and NFL (Dallas Cowboys). Redskins suck big ass.
Hmm. I have a lot of novels, but not much literature. Poe is a genius. So is Stephen King. I'll try harder.
