My Father R.I.P. My Dad died when I was 16 of cancer I was just getting to know him.he was a stubbern man he showed no emotions and did not want me to ever cry in front of him,when he got diagnosed with cancer that is when he started to show his emotions.Then he was 6'2" 210 lbs from then till he died I watched my father wilt away to 140 lbs before he died which was at home.We went to Washington to the Vietnam memorial and that was the first time that I ever had seen my dad cry and it killed me because all the time before that I knew him as a man that nothing bothered him.From then on he cryed a lot.Well to make a long story short I stayed home from school a lot because the nurse that came to visit to make sure he was doing all right said he was going to die soon so I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. So me at 16 watched my father die right in front of me as he was crying.HE died in May 1989My dear dad, I love him so. Why does death come so painful and slow. To me a giant he will always be, But now it is only a shell I see. Dear dad I see the pain on your face, I only wish I could take your place. Watching you die so slow this way, It kills me to a little to each day. But I know the LORD is watching over us, And in him we must put our trust. Some how I don't uderstand, but I do see what it meens to be a man.
