About Me

My dog runs my life and I'm happy that way. I suck at talking on the phone. The long silent pauses you hear are me trying to think of a way to get off the phone. I always say I am going to get in shape but never actually do it. Food makes me happy- yes, I emotionally eat- don't all females? I make promises I can't keep. I read obsessively. One book is never enough. I like to have atleast two waiting on the bookshelf. I can't sleep without reading something. I like to stay in by myself sometimes to watch documentaries and go to bed early. Animal paws make me happy, I find true, unfiltered joy when I see them. I love to drink coffee in the morning and check the gossip blogs. Holla Perez. One day I plan to have a house with a huge bathroom where I can take luxurious baths. I just rearranged my entire life so I can go be a social studies teacher. This is mainly because I am obsessed with school supplies, can't wait to decorate bulletin boards, and I still want off when it snows. I guess the students will be okay.Still got a solid 2 years before I can live the dream though- I am currently in Grad School. My days are spent mostly reading books and hanging out at the Dog Park. Again, it all goes back to Snoop.I am a loyal, fun and trustworthy person. If wealth was judged by how many girlfriends you have, I'd be the richest bitch around. My boyfriend is a perfect blend of Portuguese and Irish. It's my fave ethnic combination now. We decided to shack up together in Federal Hill, and we are both obsessed with the Wire on HBO. Yeah, he's alright.I love thunderstorms, the summer, and being with my family. I am weird in an endearing way. I have hardcore dimples- they are the first things you'd notice about me. My favorite moment in life is going on a trip to somewhere warm and feeling that first moment where the hot, equator-esque sun hits your face. I could lay in that sun for hours listening to Bob Marley or James Taylor. I live for those moments.I like to think I am funny and entertaining, but maybe that's just me. As long as I can make myself laugh, I am not sure I really care. Currently working on being a more disciplined person.I bartend to make ends meet while I am in school. But mostly I do it for the free shots of Grand Marnier. I am just trying to find my way to happiness- I figure even a blind pig can stumble across an acorn once in a while.

iIf you're sick of the bullshit, say "AYE!"

Okay so I'm starting to feel that I was a bit harsh in my last blog about wanting other things in my life. But what's wrong with a little honesty these days? Perhaps I feel the overwhelming need to ex...

Waiting on Your Mom to Change

So I have been really introspective lately, and frankly, I like it. Seems to me that for some reason...maybe it's the fact that we are all getting old, or maybe it's because we are at such detrimental...

If the New Year is cool, consider this one Miles Davis

I would honestly love to say that this morning I awoke to birds singing at my window as I smiled and stretched, ready to face the day. That was my vision of the way 2007 would begin, merry and bright....

I Should have Been Queen of England

Right now I am reading a book about the old Tudor Dynasty in England, under King Henry's regime. I know, I know, to most of you, this is extremely boring. However, to me, this obviously sparks food fo...

New Years Resolutions are for those who actually give a shit
