About Me

Brett McMinn has been playing music since he was 13 years old when he sang for his first band "Thrush" back in 1990. Since then he played in "Puppy Sludge" with fellow guitar player Cris Burns. Then in 1995 Brett McMinn and Cris Burns and (9th Grave's Brian Mullaney and Ryan Sanderson) formed "The Common Thieves". The lineup of "TCT" changed several times but Brett remained the core member. The "thieves" disbanded in 2001 and Brett began writing for a solo album. He began collaborating with then fiancee Jennifer Heil. Even after the couple broke up Brett and Jennifer continued to play together. Until Jennifer introduced Brett to guitar player Drew Garza and the two formed "Odd Man Out" which was later changed to "Dretson". Brett is now working on his solo album but has no intentions of ever leaving Dretson, saying "I want to do it all!"Myspace Layouts
