Hey there! This year is being referred to as “The Year of New Beginnings and Endless Opportunities. What an exciting title!!! Does it spark a sense of expectancy in your heart or mind? This year has been quite a challenge for me. I have seen God’s hand at work in my life and I have seen Him do things that I know only He could do but on the same hand I have desired to see more and to not feel as though everything is or should be such a battle or struggle. I want a sweat-less victory !!! Don’t we all? I believe wholeheartedly that God’s hand is on my life and regardless of the struggle the reward at the end will make it all worthwhile. I have asked God throughout this year to show me a sign what He has for me; I feel very often that God is saying, kind of like Christ did to Nicodemus, if I share with you the things I do on earth and you don’t understand then why or how can I explain the heavenly things to you. (Thanks Pastor) I want to be the person with whom God can share his heart and to be the kind of person that can share God’s heart with others. I am learning to encourage myself and to delight myself in the Lord. It is imperative that we do not let discouragement or desire to see more of God to ultimately discourage us or put God on a timetable (remember a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day). We must focus on today while anticipating tomorrow. Hebrews 11 says, “NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things unseen”…NOW faith--not future faith, not tomorrow faith, not “if you do this for me” faith--We are required to have NOW faith!!! Our faith in the now determines our destinies. If we cannot glory in the now then we won’t in the future. My challenge to myself this year is to find pleasure in the “every day” living with HIM and to rest my dreams on the promise of HIS plan!!!
