Hey, what's up? My name is Derek and I'm 22. I live in the Reading area, and currently work 40 hours a week at a customer service job, where the calls range anywhere from immediate requests for a supervisor, to attempts to describe just how ridiculously awesome of a person I really am (just kidding ;)).
When not sitting in front of a computer with a headset melded to my face, I enjoy having a good time with my friends and laughing over things that other people might find stupid or immature. While it's important for me to act grown up and serious at times (like on the phone at my job), I cant stand people who are always serious or never have a sense of humor. To be one of my better friends, you gotta be willing to laugh at my sometimes stupid jokes and not be so uptight about the finer things in life. Don't be a holier than thou asshole, because that shit won't get you anywhere. =).
I take pride in the fact that people in the past have labeled me as incredibly charming, or an ideal catch because they believe me to be a cut above the rest when it comes to how I treat a girl. While I enjoy an occasional bit of suggestive flirting here and there, to me women are meant to be treated with respect and not as pieces of meat. Any guy who refers to girls as 'bitches' or 'hoes' is an asshole and needs to stop overcompensating for the things in which he probably lacks, because you all know it's true. I'm not afraid to say all of this, or make claims that I'm a sap because I'm the type of guy who will write a song for you when you're sad, send you roses just because, or buy you teddy bears/make you artwork because you make me smile. I'll give you my heart and never cheat around on you, but I'll also be your best friend who you can confide in when you need me to keep a secret...and never demand or require you to give me back anything in return but your honesty, your love, and your respect.
Do I think I'm the best person in the world cause of this? No and I don't pretend to be. Instead, I believe myself to be very trustworthy and someone you can depend on to keep a secret better than some of your closest friends. Despite still having so much to go through/learn in my life, I find I can almost always offer good advice or consoling to a friend when they are in need. I'll never turn down the chance to bring a smile to someone's face, and if you want to have a trustworthy friend who will listen to you and treat you like you deserve to be treated..then feel free to send me a message and get to know me :).
