About Me

RED LIGHT THIEVES - ROCK THREE-PIECE FROM THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND

A short history of the band:

The band started way back in Year 8 at secondary school as a two piece - guitar and drums, but expanded to both a three piece, and then a four piece. Several school assemblies were played to some nice reviews, as well as a 2 song intermission set at The Anvil theatre in Basingstoke. After a while, things somewhat fizzled out, but at college, relaunched with Gavin Morris on bass and vocals, and Chris Burgess on drums, Red Light Thieves was born. Chris then had to leave a year later to go to university, so the skills of Matt Freebody were enlisted. Then, in Spring 08 Ed decided he wanted out, and left the band. They decided not to replace him, and remain as the three-piece you see before you today. They have played at iconic venues such as Southampton's Joiners and the Camden Underworld, and have recieved glowing praise at every gig.
