My journey began in the early 80s with a saxophone, but when I got my first electric guitar in 1985, it became my primary instrument. A few years later, I started playing the keyboard. The late 80s and early 90s included a lot of jamming, songwriting, guitar lessons (giving and taking), and a few short lived bands while attending the University of Florida.
After graduating from UF in 1995, my increasing interest in the sounds of electronic dance music led me behind the turntables and into the record bins. After a few years of DJing weekly club and lounge nights in Gainesville, FL, I soon turned my eye towards the production side of the music, which eventually led me to Coastline Recordings. I founded Coastline Recordings in 2001 for the purposes of releasing deep, soulful house music. The label has served as an outlet for myself and others who appreciate the combination of organic and electronic sounds.
