Formed in the heart of Saskatchewan, this quartet has been together for three years. With a new album in tow the boys are looking forward to playing their brand of backwoods, redneck, lowdown and greasy blues-rock-folk with a sweet and sour dipping sauce for all that are willing to listen.
While all the details surrounding the Steers' genesis and rise to power are uncertain, several eyewitnesses have reported similar stories.
It all began one cold winter's night in a farmer's pasture just outside Duck Lake, SK. Extraterrestrial phenomena were common place in this area and locals were used to discovering crop circles and the remains of abducted livestock. But nobody could have predicted what they saw that fateful night.
Most witnesses say that around 10:30pm the sky opened up and a giant spacecraft descended from the heavens. With a flash of light four of the young bulls in the pasture disappeared. While it is unknown what happened to them on that ship, when they returned they had assumed human form. As if that wasn't enough they had guitars and drums as well.
Even though the people who were lucky enough to witness this sight were stunned, they were compelled to shake their bodies to the sound of the music that these four creatures made. After a five hour long set they vanished into thin air, only to resurface for the occasional gig. It is rumored that they named themselves after the unfortunate bulls who were not chosen by the aliens and thus not saved from the farmers cold knife.
So get ready ladies and gentlemen because the Musty Steers are on the move and there is no place too big or small that will be safe once they hit the road.
