I am here for Friends

About Me

Not really sure what to put here. I'm 27 years old and married. My husband and I live in Christiansburg, Virginia. I am originally from NOVA and have no interest in going back there. We love going up to visit friends and family, but 5 minutes on the beltway and I'm reminded while we live in the land of no traffic, nice people, and beautiful mountains! I was an HR Manager for a civil engineering firm in Blacksburg, VA. However, we recently had our first child and I'm now a full time Mom. I work part time teaching a class at Virginia Tech. My first love is my daughter though. I treasure each and every moment I am with her and am thrilled that am able to stay at home with her. My husband is an industrial engineer for a company that manufactures tires. We built a house right before we got married in 2004 and we have two kitties in addition our daughter. One thing that is important to know about me is that I am a HUGE college football fan. Really just a huge Virginia Tech fan...no Wahoos allowed! ;-) (Sorry Pokie) My husband and I work for the team at all the football games and some basketball games. We are avid Hokie fans.

My Interests

Sports! I love football....especially Virginia Tech football. GO HOKIES!! I also love college basketball. I like to read and will read anything I can get my hands on. From romantic to mystery to biographies. I enjoy spending time with friends and love even more spending time with my husband! Can't believe I am lucky enough to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!

I'd like to meet:

Just hangin out looking for old friends and people I've lost touch with!mspmb allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/photoslider.swf?u=607415 14" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="445" height="230"

Music:

I like all types of music, but tend to listen to country more than anything. I know I know...that is what living in SW Virginia will do to a person! But I really do enjoy just about anything!

Movies:

Remember the Titans, The Princess Bride, My Best Friends Wedding, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Television:

Don't watch much....except when football and basketball are on. I enjoy Sportscenter and my newest guilty pleasure is the NFL Network. I do watch the news occasionally, but generally think most TV these days is crap. Law and Order is a good one....and of course Friends reruns.

Books:

The Bible, of course. Just ready "The Thirteenth Tale". It was given to my for my birthday. I loved it! (Thanks Stace!!) Bridges of Madison County (I'm a hopeless romantic). Harry Potter is cool.

Heroes:

My parents. My mom has had more than her fair share of health issues in recent years and her courage and determination are amazing. Dad, because he has been the best nurse Mom could ask for!! He is an amazing Christian man and is an inspriation for anybody who meets him.
