The GetReal was born as a trio at the end of the spring of the 2000. Formed in Terrassa by Jordi (bass and vocals), Juan (drum and backing vocals) both originary members of Nunnery Nutty, and Lluís (guitar) of Twice Are The Reason. They had the premise to create something different from what they were doing in their prevoius bands. Their style moved between the stoner rock of bands like Entombed, Nine, Helmet or Neurosis, the wake of more classic bands like Rocket from the Crypt, AC/DC or Black Sabbath and small doses of posthardcore or emo. During their first years of life they shared scene with great part of the bands of the state hardcore scene and with some different others as Comin'Correct, Heideroosjes, Nine, After Feed Back or Hamlet.

Their first recording experience arrives in July of 2001, with one demo recorded in Locate 0 Studios by Xavi Navarro. During the next months they continue touring and composing songs for a new recording. Recording that, accidentally, had to postpone during a month, and that finally was made at the beginning of May of the 2002, once again by Xavi Navarro. At the end of the same month and thanks to the satisfactory result, they reach an agreement with BCore Records to publish their nine-songs first album called "A Beat Back The Silence" in October of the 2002.

The substitution of their drummer Juan by Xavi the band took a stylistic redirection to a darker and rythmical melodic rock. At that point, they increased references with bands like Love and Rockets, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground... and the British sound. With this formation they record 4 new songs in the Blind Records Studios by Santos Berrocal (Sidonie, Love of Lesbian...) mastered in the Grabaciones Silvestres Studios by Marc Parrot (Bunbury, Hedtrip...).

More concerts and the inclusion of a fourth member to the guitar, Diego, takes to them to record one demo, to the delay of possible a new record launching.

Finally, they end this project.

El trío GetReal, formado en Terrassa por Jordi (bajo y voz), Juan (batería y coros) procedentes ambos de Nunnery Nutty, y Lluís (guitarra) de Twice Are The Reason, nació a finales de la primavera del 2000 con la premisa de crear algo diferente a lo que estaban haciendo en sus respectivas bandas. Dar un tono rock stoner a su sonido potencialmente new school les permitió acercarse al estilo de bandas como Entombed, Nine, Helmet, Neurosis, etc... sin perder la estela de bandas como Rocket from the Crypt, AC/DC o Black Sabbath... incluyendo también algunas lagunas donde dejar caer pequeñas dosis de posthardcore o emo. A lo largo de estos años han compartido escenario con gran parte de las bandas del circuito hardcore estatal, y con otras tan dispares como Comin'Correct, Heideroosjes, Nine, After Feed Back o Hamlet.

Su primera experiencia en estudio llega en julio del 2001, grabando una demo compuesta por cinco temas en el estudio Locate 0 a cargo de Xavi Navarro. En los siguientes meses dedican su tiempo, aparte de seguir subiendo a los escenarios, a componer nuevos temas y a preparar una nueva grabación. Grabación que, accidentalmente, se tuvo que posponer durante un mes, y que finalmente se realizó a principios de mayo del 2002, una vez más a cargo de Xavi Navarro. A finales del mismo mes y gracias al satisfactorio resultado, llegan a un acuerdo con B-core disc para editar los nueve temas que componen su primer álbum, titulado "A Beat Back The Silence", que ve la luz en octubre del 2002.

La substitución de Juan por Xavi a la batería, les llevan a un replanteamiento estilístico, con una marcada tendencia hacia un rock melódico más oscuro y rítmico. Podríamos tomar como referéncias a bandas como Love and Rockets, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Velvet Underground... y el sonido británico. Con esta formación graban 4 temas en los estudios Blind Records por Santos Berrocal (Sidonie, Love of Lesbian...) y masterizados en los estudios Grabaciones Silvestres por Marc Parrot (Bunbury, Hedtrip...).

Más conciertos y la inclusión de un cuarto miembro a la guitarra, Diego, les lleva a grabar una nueva demo a la espera de un eventual nuevo lanzamiento discográfico.

Finalmente, ponemos fin a este proyecto.
