Whas good!!! My name is Kayce One, CEO/Producer of Kayce One Productions @ Labwork Studios. I hail from a small city Belle Glade "Muck City" Florida. I have been producing for almost 7 years, and still goin' strong. I was always blindly in love with the sound of music, so I chose it as a career. Many of my friends think that I am "off" because when I listen to music, I often tune out the artist and focus on the music behind the artist.(Strange, but efficient) One Person who I practically owe alot to is an O.G. from "home team,"Terrance "Mr. Rocca" Downing Jr. (www.myspace.com/MuckCityATeam) He was the one who put the time in to help me understand how to turn simple "ideas" into "hit music". He also taught me all that was expected from a "Producer." A "Producer" dosent just simply make beats and sells them for profit, they must also have the ability to take an artist, and assist them in making they best music that they possibly can. All because someone owns an expensive keyboard or "Fruity Loops" and makes a couple of tracks dosent necessarily make that individual a "Producer". So I took that knowledge in as a tool to help me better myself as a Producer over the
years. I originally planned to go College right after high school to pursue a degree in Music, but all my applications were rejected. So I bit my tongue and joined the army. After 3 years (1 of which I spent in Iraq), I wasnt satisfyed, so I kicked rocks. After some much needed time off, I decided to go college. So in the day, Im all about da "Books", my other parts of the day, I am in the studio making good use of my time. I own and operate my own studio out of my home. This works out good because I dont have to waste my time working at some low-paying job.
