About Me

BUY THE CD, BABY!
Cinderpop moves from rhapsodic swirliness to pastoral and everything in between. Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Cinderpop released their first album Violet Gamma Rays in 2000 to critical acclaim. Their single "Sniper" charted across North America on college radio and indie charts. Their music is eclecticism over predictability, and Violet Gamma Rays was a perfect example of this, revealing influences from My Bloody Valentine to The Kinks.
The band is comprised of the following musicians: Kevan Ellis (SkRobot), Mark Jowett (Ex- Moev), Joel Myers (Texture, Holly McNarland), Digger Watkins and Erin Jane (The Salteens, The Neins Circa). Cinderpop's second album, Their Skies Are Beautiful, released in 2005 on Bongo Beat Records, has garnered fantastic reviews worldwide and has been released in Canada, the US, Spain and the UK.
Cinderpop will be nationally releasing their third full-length album, A Lesson In Science, on May 13 to much fervor and excitement. Several songs, including Bumblebee and Blonder, have already been awarded Track of the Day on Garageband.com, featured on cbc radio1 and cbc radio3 podcasts, and have also been added to rotation on cbc radio3.
