About Me

Some people would call me a godless heathen, a secularist bent on ruining the morality of our children, a heartless small-government-advocating elitist, or a lazy, apathetic bore.
You, on the other hand, can call me Jared.
If you were me, you'd most likely be...
Watching a movie Playing World of Warcraft or some other video or board game Making some kind of humorous reference Wandering the streets Listening to about 30 podcasts a week At a museum Puttering around the internet ALL THE TIME Eating in a restaurant, whether fancy or not so much. Giving SOMEONE advice, regardless of the typically shambled state of your own life. Thinking about writing creatively. Someday. Maybe??

If you were me, you would most likely NOT be:
Dancing. Probably ever. At a crowded bar or club Comfortable at a party or around people you don't know Drinking, or on drugs At a psychic, or seeing a practitioner of Supplemental, Complementary, or Alternative Medicine (SCAM for short) Praying, in church, or otherwise in thrall to man-made gods and their followers Actually writing anything worth reading

Talk to me about movies, music, books, video games, evolution, philosophy, the paranormal, skepticism, or theoretical science, and you will find me an eager listener and even more eager speaker. Just don't expect an add unless I know you, know OF you, and/or like what you've got to say.
After living in East London for a year while getting an EXTREMELY valuable MA in Film Studies, I'll be returning to the US in September and in need of food, shelter, and work opportunities, most likely in the greater Boston area. Charity is always welcome.
Oh, I don't blog here, in case you were curious. Check out expatria[dot]livejournal[dot]com for that.
