Hailing from Buffalo, New York, Kool Taj captivates the audience with his persuasive brilliance and motivating style of emcee n'. His lyrical finesse is unparalleled, his veteranship is far beyond evident and the skill of rock n' any venue (concert, party, street-corner, backyard) is well defined.Kool Taj the Gr8 has shared the stage with other artists such as the legendary hip hop emcee himself, A.Z., as well as Papoose, O.C., BlackMoon, Keith Murry, Wu-Tang Clan and many other great artists. Kool Taj started his own record label, Paint Can Records, back in 2004. The label's name was inspired by his love and passion for graffiti artwork. Kool Taj himself is an " old-school graffiti artist". And yes, he still gets his tag on. Kool Taj has been quoted saying " the paint cans (colors) represent the cultural-diversity of those people who contributed and still contributes to the culture of hip hop. Kool Taj released his first independent album entitled 'Graffiti Language' back in the summer of 2005. The title track received XM radio exposure from one of hip hop's most respected d.j.'s, D.j. Premier (Gangstarr/ Year Round Records). Kool Taj has been rock n' the underground with killah-mixtape cd's, such as: 'Streets R' Callin','Cornerblock Hip Hop',' Str8 Murder Vol. 1',' The Plague',' The GR8 TakeOver' and many more. Despite what others may say about age and endurance, Kool Taj the Gr8 proves to be timeless.The new album entitled " Hip Hop In The Flesh " in stores and on-line, summer 2009. (What up Skeme?
