Umoverde consists of 5 inner city Los Angeles Chicanos fusing the sounds of reggae - Roots & Dance hall with Latin Rhythms. One Quick listen is all you need to realize that Humo Verde has created a unique sound. Skillfully blending their individual influences with their love of playing, into a sound that makes you get up, dance and notice them. Even more impressive is finding out that Umoverde has only been in exsistence since April of 2004!
Composed of seasoned veterans throughout the Los Angeles area, Umoverde displays a well developed and original sound that is pleasantly surprising for such a young and fresh band. Umoverde has already performed at various venues and clubs including: The House of Blues, The Key Club, Blue Cafe, Knitting Factory and many others.
