About Me

I'm really not that complex. I'm just a down to earth chick that likes to have fun with good people and enjoy the small things in life.My favorite word: Prosperity! This is what we should be striving for in every aspect of life!Born in Canada to Jamaican parents, grew up in Orlando, FL. I`m a FORMER track & field athlete with a degree in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Engineering Science from UGA. I just finished up a job working in Quality Control at a fiberglass manufacturing plant. I`ve been working with the railroad since June. What do I do? To sum up my job description, its a combination of logistics, operations, and supervision of the train crews. FYI: Conductors and engineers don't punch tickets anymore! LOLIn the little bit of spare time that I do have, I like to relax and hang out w/ friends, try out new restaurants and lounges, and go to movies/plays/shows, and I love live music. I love the variety of cultural events that Atlanta has to offer, but Atlanta is starting to flop itself on this Hollywood tip...it's just starting to get way too fake for me. Soon it shall be time to move on to the next.......I like playing flag football and volleyball (when I can find a team or partner). Maybe I'll find the motivation to do some 5Ks again (I hate distance running but need to get back in shape). I also love traveling when time and money permit. On average tho, most my off time is spent either reading books or watching TV. I'm a homebody at heart. Here are some pics from my "Birthday Soiree" at Nava and Djangos in April, followed by some random party pics.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow

My Interests

Cooking, reading, cultural events, live music, track and field, gymnastics, roller blading......soon to be adding TENNIS!!! Y'all need to hit up Cirque du Soleil before it leaves Atlanta. Corteo was the bomb!!! (I'm one of the biggest CdS fans you'll meet)Got pics from my latest weekend excursion in Miami:

I'd like to meet:

Besides Maxwell, Brian White, Mos Def, and maybe Serena Williams? Some of my old friends, classmates, and teammates. Some people to play tennis with! I'm gonna need some lessons first though.I wouldn't mind meeting some intelligent, goal oriented, spiritual individuals for stimulating convo...but folks that can have fun too. Life ain't that serious.Sorry, but I'm not here for the "Friends List Race". I prefer to leave my friends list for people that I actually know or at least have met.Give my hairdresser Ms. Beauti a shout. She's the bomb and her prices are great!

Music:

Jazz, funk, soul, electronica, world, some hip hop and R&B, and of course...REGGAE!!!!!! Can't call myself Jamaican and not represent with the Carnival Pics!**** Where do I find my new and unusual artists? www.giantstep.net

Movies:

X-Men, Charlie's Angels, Dead Presidents, General's Daughter, Head of State, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Forrest Gump (I cry every time Forrest talks to Jenny's grave--LOL), . . .

Television:

I'm a HUGE fan of 24, America's Next Top Model, Girlfriends, Court TV. I used to think "Flava of Love" was a disgrace until I remembered this whole thing started with "The Bachelor". It's refreshing to watch "I Love New York" and see that men can make a fool of themselves too.

Books:

Coldest Winter Ever, Autobiography of Malcolm X, Left Behind, whatever religious and conspiracy theory books I can get my hands on.

Heroes:

Jesus and Jackie Joyner Kersee
