PRESENT: Recent transplant to Denver. Cool city, I miss my friends though. Adversity had me ready to close shop in Denver shortly after I arrived, until I realized that every time I'd run from a challenge in the past, I regretted it. I envisioned this move as a "long jump", but now realize that this is just the first hop in what will end up most likely being a "triple jump".
FUTURE: I'm traveling to Ghana in March 2007 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its independence from British colonial rule and the 200th anniversary of US abolition of African slave trade. Ghana was the first African colony south of the Sahara to gain its independence. That catalyzed the political liberation of the rest of the African countries from colonialism.

Adinkra Symbolism is a visual representation of social thought relating to the history, philosophy and religious beliefs of the Akan peoples of Ghana. Each of the motifs has a name and meaning derived either from a proverb, a historical event, human attitude, animal behavior, plant life, forms and shapes of inanimate and man-made objects. I chose a few symbols that I thought best represented me. No tattoos yet, but I might get one of those above.
