Captain Zen

Captan Zen burst onto the scene in Osaka in late 1981. They soon became one of the premeir blues bands in the Kansai area of Japan. Also unizue to the band was their true international flavor with each member coming from a different country. They played a rocking blues format that culminated in 2 sold-out shows at Osaka's Banana Hall.the band broke-up in 1985 when Thom returned to the states, where he has been performing and recordinng with a vareity of artists while continuing to front his own band, the Thom DuKan Band.The other members of all gone their separate ways but this site serves in memory of one of the great blues bands that came out of Japan in the mid-1980s.
