I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well, I just turned the big 3-0......it's actually pretty good. This is a point in life to get together with friends, reminisce about how stupid you used to be, and how stupid you still are. It’s time to reflect and hopefully become overwhelmed with how lucky you are to have such wonderful friends and family and amazed that you've made it this far. It’s also a great time to plan some of the things you want to do before you die (I’ll post mine once it’s a bit more refined). I’d say that life is pretty good these days. I'm looking forward to my thirties and just going to try to make the most of my time here.

My Interests

Cooking, camping (car camping that is), photography, golfing, Mullet hunting (digital cameras are great weapons for this past time!), playing with my dog (Stella, she's the best!), home improvement projects, dancing (I'm not very good, but that'll never stop me) and most of all......spending time with family and friends. div

I'd like to meet:

Some cool new peps and to get back in touch with some long lost friends.

Music:

My favorite band has to MacGregor, check em out at www.macgregorband.com. Half of these guys are from Calvert County and I've known them for years. These guys rock, I'm so proud of them and have become a huge fan! I'm really bummed they aren't together anymore....boo hooo. I also love the old school funk and soul classics of Prince, Michael Jackson (the older the better, PYT is a favorite of mine!), Stevie Wonder, Marvin and just about any thing funky with a good beat. These days I've been playing a lot of Joss Stone, MJB and Blackeyed Peas. I also like most hip hop songs, classic rock and top 40's. I've recently been introduced to Blue Grass and to my surprise I really enjoy catching a live show from time to time.div

Movies:

Some of my favs, in no particular order, are Shawshank Redemption, the Princess Bride, Napoleon Dynamite, Ocean's Eleven, Kill Bill, City Slickers (I know this one is random, but I just love that movie), the Little Mermaid, Aladdin, A Christmas Story, Wedding Singer. Old School, Goonies, and Beaches (if I want to shed a pound in tears). There are sooo many good movies out there.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy is the best show ever!!!! Seriously, I can’t fall asleep for at least an hour once it’s over…too exciting. Virginia Tech football, of course! When flipping around I tend to stop on the CSIs (Vegas is the best), American Idol, Desperate Housewives, decorating/make over shows, Myth Busters and Monster Machines or anything similar.div

Heroes:

Without a doubt my folks!! Both of them are such amazing people in their own way. My mother somehow manages to always keep a positive outlook on life even though her MS has made it so challenging and she has the biggest heart of anyone on the planet. She’s such a sweetheart, a great listener and just an all around inspiration. Pops is an amazing dad, hard working loyal hubby and an incredible friend. He has always taken such good care of his entire family and everyone else he knows. Both of my parents just blow me away. I'm so lucky to have them, they inspire me to try to be a better person everyday.

My Blog

Still a Non-Smoker!!!

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to post an update on my non-smoking effort.  It's been 30 days and I'm still going strong......done forever. Thanks for all of your support over this past mo...
