Yet his mother spun her records at Colognes first infamous discotheques in the 60s, in the 80s his brother Mike dejayed the top clubs of Berlin, Frankfurt and Miami. After Mike stopped playing Andreas took over his huge record collection and started to mix these original disco 12 inches with up to date housebeats longtime before discohouse became a trend in the mid 90s.In 1994 he and his partner Theo founded the legendary FUNKY CHICKEN CLUB where Andreas as Disco Gessner pampers no doubt his crowd with the always latest releases in electronic dance music. Some call him the master of bootlegging since he makes new tracks up live in his sets by bringing old and new together plus adding loops and drumrolls with his numerous effect machines. Since Native Instruments spotted The Funky Chicken Club as one of the worldwide leading clubs Disco Gessner also uses the multiple choices of the pioneering FinalScratch technology.His sets are eclectic and range from original disco to fucked up electronic beats ... always good for a surprise like his appearance is as well.In 2005 Disco Gessner based his own lable THE FUNKY CHICKEN RECORDS and started to produce himself. His first release Nightclubbing found ist way straight away to John Acquavivas Back To Basic compilation the same as to Kontors success sampler Top of the clubs.The Funky Chicken Club Electronic Discotheque compilations are of course mixed by himself and sell worldwide.
