Pytzek
first started showing interest in contemporary electronic music in his early days. The beginning of his interest was massively influenced by flourishing hip hop culture, especially by the artists like: Afirka bambata, Grandmaster flash, Rakim, A tribe called quest, to mention but a few.The arrival of legendary Prodigy marked an opening of a whole new world of influences for him. The stronger the electronic music influences on the whole music scene were, the more interest he was manifesting towards its rapidly advancing culture. In 1999 he moved to Zagreb where he started working at the 'Multimedial Institute' MAMA. That organization has influenced his further music development in the best possible manner, being the place where he first started his dj career. That was also the place where he met his long time friend and companion Edward Bilic, who shared his views on electronic music matters. The he two of them formed a dj back to back project Pytzek&Edo, which soon became an integral part of. The project was part of every important electronic music event in Croatia, and dozen of important events abroad. As the time was passing the two of them were expanding their horizons. It was not long after that that they hooked up with a few people who shared their views on the music matter, which culminated in the forming of: ------------------------------------------------------------
FREQUENCY CREW:
In 2002 they met Sergej, Fogseller, and Vedran Gulin-Goo. The five of them founded the 'Frequency crew'. It was conceived as a platform for advancement of electronic dance music in Croatia, and promotion Croatian dance music abroad. The first bigger thing was 'Sunday Frequency' program, which soon became notorious among the clubbers in zgareb. After the program was brought to a stop, the crew soon found a new venue- 'Tockica' nightclub, where they started what was soon to become the best underground music destination in the city of Zagreb.'Dot frequency' became the first destination for all the people who were involved in the scene, and it can be said that it became a scene for itself, featuring some of the biggest names of the global scene: Mark Moore ( from S-Expres) ,Jonty Skrufff (www.skrufff.com),Chris Duckenfield aka SWAG, Terry Francis, Matthew Dear, Asad Rizvi, Tyler T Bone Stadius, Dave Mathersole, Raily Reinhold, Martin Landsky, Haris, Jonny Rock, Tasty Tim, Colin Dale, Marco Passarani and many more, together with all the renown Croatian artists and live acts: Marijan Felver , Petar Dundov, Luka Majic, Kiki, Omar , Zvukbroda, Labosh, Confusion Crew, Verbal, Nicole, Unique etc.Their efforts were rewarded when they founded the 'Frequency' music production studio, and started hosting their own radio show on the prestigious 'Proton' radio station www.protonradio.com.---------------------------------------- -----------------
MAMA
During all that time Pytzek remained active working as a member of the 'Multimedia Institute', the institution where the thing first started happening for him. He hosted dj workshops and worked as a resident d.j. in the club in 2001. He is one of the founding members of the first independent Croatian electronic music label - Egooboobits, which has been featuring work of highly renown electronic music artists like: Zvukbroda, NoName NoFame, Blasko, Aesqe, Qwerty.Nowadays the music label features the work of forty artists. It is important to mention that all the artwork is published under the Creative commons license, which makes it the only music label of that type in Croatia. In 2004 Pytzek became part of the [MAMATRONIK] program which was started by Bojan Mandic and Petar Milat in 2002.---------------
