Hi all! - this is a page about ex-Glasgow band 'ROUNDHOUSE'.
'Roundhouse' first burst onto the Scottish music scene in 1992 when their subtle fusion of slick pop melody, heavy rock and funk won them an immediate following and critical acclaim.
'Roundhouse' were intense, talented musicians who managed to avoid the inevitable 'pigeon-holing' as a band producing predictable and repetitive styles in their music - they always managed to define their own unique sound.
Moved by an ambition to bring originality and vitality to their music 'Roundhouse' achieved this and more by treating unsuspecting gig-goers to their irresisitable stage performances - certainly one fo the most energetic and entertaining shows to arrive on the Scottish music scene for a long time. The verve and sheer spectacle of their confident stage show never failed to electrify their audience.
'Roundhouse' unfortunately split in late 1997 after having toured the U.K. extensively and on the brink of the "big deal" for reasons which are now by the way but they left some fantastic memories in those who witnessed them live and some excellent tunes - some demo versions* of which you can listen to here.
