Musical Backround and experience:
Music has been a very important factor throughout my entire life. Many members of my family have made careers out of their musical abilities also.
I began learning classical piano at a very early age and continued it for seven years before deciding to try my hands at jazz piano, which I carried on for four years and reached a grade four standard. Whilst learning jazz piano, I was inspired to take up guitar which I only carried on for a year, and at the same time I tested the musical waters for something new and a little different from my instruments; that being singing. I carried this on for several years before focusing my interests on the drums, which I earned a grade 5 level of playing. The drums progressed into Mixing and music production, and I have been continuing to improve my skills and further my knowledge in these areas since.
Experience as a musician:
Having dabbled in such a wide range of instruments has meant that I have been tutored by many different teachers, often more than one teacher for one instrument. All have passed on their musical knowledge and technique to me and given me opportunities to play at many concerts. I have been encouraged to play at concerts with large audiences since a very young age. During my secondary school years I would compose pieces for the Jazz piano, and was allowed to play such a piece at many concerts. This piece went on to be the first track on the school CD, a feat I am most proud of.
Experience as a DJ:
Living in a city with an ever uprising social scene has given me the fortuity to play at several clubs, Sets on radio stations (Manic FM), Large parties & Competitions: (UKCC Finalist 2006), (Skillz 3rd Place 06), (HTFR Mini Mix 2nd Place)
Technical Experience:
I am very experienced with all kinds of DJ equipment, from having owned several sets of turntables and mixers and played on the equipment of many high grade setups. Performing as a solo artist has enabled me to gain a good grasp on understanding much of the technical side of audio equipment.
