MLF

I've edited my myspace so many times and I can never be fully content with it probably because I like to wholeheartedly express how I am on something. Anyways, I'm going into my 3rd year of college at Cal State San Marcos. Majoring in Human Development with an emphasis in counseling services in addition to minoring in Sociology. School is my number one priority at this point in my life and getting that degree has been my dream for a while now. I'm active in student organizations at school. Former president in Asian Pacific Student Society and former Communications Chair in Kamalayan Alliance. Both orgs taught me to be more socially and politically conscious about issues within the Asian/Pacific Islander community and I do my best to advocate my understanding of what goes on.
I love music. All kinds and I can listen to it all day long. I like to listen to a lot of R&B songs, hip hop, and rock for the most part but if there's any song that's out there that gives me an ear-gasm I'm sure I'll like it. I especially enjoy hearing live music, hence I like going to shows. I haven't been to many yet but enough to where I can't get enough of it. Concert/Performances I've been to thus far are: Jasmine Trias, Rock The Bells o6, Paid Dues o7, Ernie Halter, Tyrone Wells, Trevor Davis, and Rock the Bells o7.
I don't consider myself religious but spiritually conscious. I am Catholic however, I do not feel that I'm a "good" one. The most that I do is go to church every Sunday with my family or by myself. My values and morals were built upon what I've learned from the church, for the most part but I don't feel that I'm truly devout to the beliefs and practices associated within my religion.
My family is the most important asset in my life. Without them, I couldn't be who I am now. My brother and I are close, at least I like to think we are. Though we have opposing views on things, we still get along really well. My dad and I have a close bond as well. He's really understanding when it comes to things that happen and though he's a little close-minded I can still count on a good conversation with him. My mom and I are building a better relationship now, though it took 19 years to do I'm glad that we're making progress with things between us.
My friends are the best people in the world, next to my family that is. My friends here in the 909 know who they are and know how much they mean to me and without them I could not have gotten through all the trials and tribulations that I've gone through thus far. Some people that I consider my close friends I haven't known that long but have shown more care, loyalty, and compassion than some people I've know for many years. In addition, I've made wonderful friends in my second home, San Marcos. Without them, I wouldn't have stayed at CSUSM. I've had so many good times, bad times, and off the wall times with them that they've made my college experience the best experience I've had in my life. So no matter where I am, I am missing friends here in the 909 or out in San Marcos/San Diego.
