There is no try.
It's a personal oath to myself that I've committed to. Not honoring this oath is not an option. Life is brief, and I don't even want to blink and risk losing a precious moment of it. For all I know I only have one shot at this life (until Buddhists, Pagans, or Hindi's, can show any proof otherwise), I'm not about to risk my last breath carrying the question what if; or I wish I had. Why die regretting the fact you didn't kiss her goodbye that morning, not taking the opportunity to make your life happier, take advantage of your youth, or letting fear keep you from experiencing your big opportunities. I want to experience the world before I leave it, every rush, every vibrant or rich sensation, the cultures, the thrills, the extremes that show you life through eyes that only an adventurer can find.. The ones that show you what alive really feels like. Not these dead nine-fivers who never stop to ask themselves if they're really happy, wonder what they can do to fulfill their lives. Mankind hasn't adapted through centuries of technology, education, social evolution, war, tragedy, victory, and progress just to be a dead slave to society's status quo, their government, or their taxes. The people that never wander, or wonder; search, dare to question, or take a chance, to me, are like sleepers in a still world. People who would rather experience life from someone else's adventure are the type of people I will not let myself be. My body is young, very able, and thankfully has no hindrance or handicap. There are many broken bodies that dream about being able to run, jump out of planes, see other cultures, experience wild passion, or just say fuck it and run through the rain. It would be a definite damn shame if one day I randomly became one of those broken bodies, and never spent the time I DID have taking advantage of what I have now. We belong to a world of so many senses, questions, curiosities, and experiences that we've rightfully inherited by birthright. All too many of us lose the luster, and condition ourselves to see such things as the cliche "that would be amazing, I wish I could do something like that". Whats going to matter more on your death bed.. "Remember the time I ran away for the weekend to experience the wildest passion of my life" or.. "Remember that time I didn't go because I had offered to work that one Saturday for the job I quit a year later"? Take your adventures and take them with the people that matter. Don't waste your breaths, your moments, or your thoughts on the things that won't matter in those last moments. I refuse to die unfulfilled, alone, without purpose, and without love.
