I love my church: Edwarstown Baptist Church and I recently became a member there after two years of attendance. I am a youth leader and I volunteer in Eddies Cafe, I never thought waitering would be so much fun! I love hanging out with my youthies at Resonate and my mates in Pivot (EBC's youth groups), I have some awesome friends there and so many people who I can rely on when the going gets tough (as it has done quite a bit in 2007). I hope that they can also get something out of me being their friend. I want to be a catalyst for change.
I am an environmentalist and I am constantly working to preserve the fragile environment upon which Adelaide sits. In mid-2006 I worked with local residents of Hallett Cove to set up Friends of the Lower Field River, a landcare group which looks after the final stretch of the Field River before it enters the sea at Hallett Cove Beach. The work I do through this group is incredibly satisfying and we're really making a difference. I want to be a catalyst for change.
God. He is awesome. He upholds me. He blesses me. He holds me in the palm of his hand. I let him mould me and although I am a broken person, part of a broken generation, in a broken society, I know that He will triumph and with Him in my life, I can also.
Very eclectic taste! I love everything which is easy listening. Just stuff that gets me thinking. When I was some brevity I listen to Ben Folds. When I want to work hard I listen to classical. When I want to be uplifted and think about what God has done for me I listen to a whole heap of worship music: Matt Redman, Levi McGrath, Michael W Smith, Third Day, Hillsongs, Selah, Planetshakers ...
