I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I have always been a Music Lover and formerly was a singer and actress in Stage Musicals in my younger years. When I fell in love and married a Musician, it again became an everyday part of my life.
I now actively promote/book bands and coordinate/organize Music Events, Concerts and Festivals throughout the Southern California area.
I am the publisher of the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society's "Blues News" monthly newsletter and am the webmaster for the Society's websites..www.scvblues.org and www.myspace.com/santaclaritavalleybluessociety.
I am also the President of the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society and served on the Board of Directors for two years previously. Our Blues Society is one of the youngest in the World and growing by leaps and bounds. It has some incredible Blues & Jazz Artists that are very active in the West Coast Music Scene. This year, we are implementing a new Blues In The Schools program.
The Society is a Bronze Sponsor again this year for the Santa Clarita Valley "Relay For Life" which is the 10th largest in the United States. I'm the Music Chair for the Relay and our 13 hour "Music For The Cause" Festival is a non stop event with 22 Bands and Solo/Duo Artists. It takes place on Saturday, May 30th at John Parker Plaza in Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA. Last year we raised $585,000.00 for Cancer Research during the Event and this year we're hoping to raise even more. Come out an join us for the Festival - it's going to be incredible!!
The Society participated in the "Write for Hope" Blues Festival in Simi Valley again in 2007. It was the 2nd year for a very special event that we are proud to be a part of. "Write 4 Hope" is a charity organization that helps battered women, abused children & the homeless in the Ventura County community. Coco Montoya was the headliner as well as other great Blues acts: Gino Matteo, The Delgado Brothers, Michael John & The Bottom Line, Jeff Jensen Band, John Parker, Mikey Mo, Blues Stew and Toni Dodd & Southbound Blues.
We also do several "Blues in the Schools" Fundraisers during the year featuring the Society's great Blues Bands. These "Blues in the Schools" Fundraiser Concerts are for a great cause...Most of our kids have no idea what Blues is or where it originated..it's our job to teach them about the history of this Art Form as well as the history of our Country. If you want to know more about the "Blues in the Schools" Project, log onto the Santa Clarita Blues Society website at www.scvblues.org.
You can catch me every 'Second' Sunday of each month running The SCV Blues Society Booth at the "BBQ & Blues" Jam @ The Londoner Pub, 18511 Soledad Canyon Rd at Sierra Hwy. We'll be offering Blues Society Memberships, selling Society Tshirts and Cds from our favorite Artists. Free, All Ages. Come Hungry, there will be plenty of great food and drinks available at the Londoner. See you all there!!
....And I have another side of my life as well as music....
The other half of my life is devoted to my Film & Television Career, which has taken up a huge portion of my time since my younger days when I was an actress on stage. I am a current member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees - West Coast, Set Decorators Society of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. I am a past member of Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, National Association of Broadcast Employees & Technicians, IBEW and IATSE - East Coast.
I also worked as a Stunt Woman and spent quite a few years as a Commercial Hot Air Balloon Pilot on the East Coast before moving to California. I was the first female Hot Air Balloon Pilot to receive a Commercial pilot's license in the Southeastern United States and was also the Chief Pilot for the Coca Cola "Grand Prix of Ballooning" for several years, traveling all over the country putting on Exhibitions, Balloon Races and entertaining the Press. I also worked at the Balloon Ranch in Colorado and trained students to fly.
For fun between the craziness of the Entertainment world, my husband and I are avid sailors and try to spend as much time as possible aboard our 52'Vagabond cutter rigged ketch with our water loving Himalayan cat, Klondike.
