Craig Lang & Driven is an electrifying Rock/Worship band with a passion for Christ and People. Craig and Driven have been touring the Nation for 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it! It all started back in 2002, when Craig signed a record deal with Level Six Records in Nashville, TN. As the press release went out for Craig's debut Album, "I Want To Know You", Craig started getting invites to play for venues across the nation... only one problem... He had no band. That's where DRIVEN, Craig's Live band comes in to the picture. It started with Mike (Mikey) Stillwagon. Mikey was a complete stranger to Craig at the time, but was referred to him by long time shoe-string relative Randy Hill. Mikey is an extra-ordinary guitar player with all the finess of a session studio player. He and Craig often have fun playing "name that tune" at band practices with some of the rock songs that formed their ROCK history. Mikey absolutely shreds on Lead Guitar and adds a few background vocals too.Next is Brad (Ninj) Spayd. Brad came from Crimson Tide, a band that was pals with Craig's former band Gone Fishin. Brad has great harmonies that compliment Craig's unique vocals. He plays rythym, acoustic, and lead guitars and keeps a smooth, solid foundation for the band. He's a quiet guy, and a great songwriter and musical talent. He got his nickname because he is a quiet, unassuming guy (silent Ninja). Brad plays guitar and leads worship at his home church, Central Assembly in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.Ryan Schneider came to Craig a year or so into the journey. Craig was actually Ryan's youth Pastor for a short time and the Best Man in Ry's wedding. They also play together at Living Word Church (a.k.a. Mark Barclay Ministries) on the Worship team. Ryan bought one of Craig's first bass guitars for a pair of Air Jordan basketball shoes (Yeah, Craig is a basketball fan too). Ryan is in Craig's opinion, "One of the finest Bass players in Michigan". They've been pals for about 20 years.Craig's first solo project, "I Want To Know You", ranked Craig nationally on some markets and introduced him to the Christian music business in Nashville, Tennessee. It produced radio play for "Jesus You Alone", "Precious Jesus", and saw the title Track "I Want To Know You" climb as high as 12. It also saw "Rain on Me" reach as high as 8 on some markets. The two ranked tunes featured background vocals by The Darins, a Christian quartet of sisters that saw great success around the year 2000. The album featured Jerry Mc Pherson on Guitar (David Crowder, Avalon, Newsong, Michael W. Smith, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith), Jackie Street on Bass (Jaci Velasquez, Little Big Town, ZOEgirl, Carman, DC talk), and Steve Brewster on Drums (Bob Seger, FFH, Avalon, Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill). The CD was produced and Engineered by Steve Allen (Legacy Five, Bob Carlisle, Vestal Goodman, , Gaither Vocal Band, Kirk Talley), who is good friends with Craig still today. Craig was very impressed by Steve's level of integrity and the way he put God & prayer first in the work he did with Craig.Craig's sophomore release, "Allowed Happy Place" was released in October 2005, and puts the ROCK back into WORSHIP. It was also Produced and Engineered by Steve Allen. It featured Scott Williamson on drums (Starfield, Lincoln Brewster, Brooks and Dunn, FFH, Israel Houghton), Dave Cleveland on guitars (Avalon, Newsong, Sara Groves, Plus One, Carman, Dailey Planet) Jason Webb ..s & B3 (Gaither Vocal Band, P Diddy, Russ Lee, Newsong) and Reggie Smith on Background Vocals (U2, Boston, Vince Gill, Casting Crowns). It's a statement Album after Craig decided to go Indie with the help of DRIVEN as they travel across the Nation.
