Comatose Crew

Comatose Crew is a three-piece conscious, experimental, and independent hip-hop/rap collective originating from Long Island, New York. The sound is on that experimental jazz tip complemented by abstract and poetic lyrics and is analogous to Raekwon or Nas riding the New York City subway reading a Philip K. Dick novel or a Gabriel García Márquez short-story. The three emcees, Ruby Weapon, Self iThink, and Sincere subtly blend social, economic, and philosophical ideas into their verses in an attempt to stream through the listener’s inner conscience without overloading on any particular campaign. The music both addresses and reflects the angst of, not only adolescence, but also the act of living in general.
