I like things that sound old timey, I recently got a copy of Charlie Spand's Dreaming the blues and it's really good, I Suggest it to anyone who likes old Blues piano, Or just plain music for that matter. I like to play piano so I listen to a lot of classical piano pieces as well. I won't name them, becuase no one really cares.
Recently, Giant Killer Shark: The Musical... all the time.
Garden State, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, Lost In Translation, I'll save time and just write directors/writers, anything by Stanley Kubrick, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove etc. anything by the Coen Brothers, Miller's Crossing, The Man Who Wasn't There etc. Anything by Charlie Kaufmann, Being John Malkovich, Human Nature etc. Anything by Michael Moore, Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11 etc. Anything by Quentin Tarantino Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs etc. Anything with Steve Mcqueen, The man is just so fucking cool. Boogie Nights, Punch-Drunk Love... I haven't seen all of Paul Thomas Anderson's Movies but those two are really good. There's more... I'm sure i'll add to this later. My favorites change all the time, But ussually i'm pretty consistent with "The Shining", "Pulp Fiction", and "O Brother Where Art Thou". Call me old fashioned but i also think "Citizen Kane" fucking rules. Nowadays I'm real into "Garden State" and "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind". But seriously Steve McQueen is fucking cool, Go out and get "Bullit", You won't regret it. I'll watch any movie no matter how bad it may be, Like the other day i watched "Stuck On You" and surprisingly I enjoyed myself, It's a nice little movie. I'm not going to sit here and name every movie i have ever seen because thats lame. I like watching TCM, esspecially on silent film sundays. I also like making movies, which is why i am a Film major at Temple. The movies I enjoy ussually only play at the Ritz. I hate Cinemark, Both the movies they play and the people that go there. I don't mean to sound rude or offend anybody but seriously, how many "American Pies" does this world need? It's sickening. If you like good movies, then i'll probably like you... But please, Don't ever come up to me and defend movies like, "Euro Trip" and "Along Came Polly", God I hate "Along Came Polly".
Current Favorite Movie (Subject To Change): "Boogie Nights"
The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, The Simpsons, and The Simpsons. Turner Classic Movies. I also like Family Guy, But never ever ever say it is better than The Simpsons. There are few things that piss me off in this world, and saying Family Guy is better then The Simpsons is one of them. If you agree then you're cool in my book, But if you like family guy more... I guess that's ok. Just don't tell me about it, becuase I'll pretend like it doesn't bother me, But everytime i see you I will most likely picture myself beating you in the teeth. Until your teeth fall out, and then you got no teeth. So you're better of just not telling me, Unless i ask you, Which i probably will, and don't lie, Becuase i'll know. Seinfeld.
Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell, Earth Abides by George R. Stewart, Steinbeck, Ayn Rand, Crime and Punishment, Vonnegut Vonnegut Vonnegut, Vonnegut's definitely my favorite. You should give him a try. Earth Abides rocks also. To Kill A Mockingbird kicks my ass. I like to read.
