Yung Star (Shane Tucker) A.K.A. Teen of the South, 16 years old, is an up and coming solo artist residing in Tampa Bay, FL. He is currently under his own record label, BIG MONEY RECORDS. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA but moved shortly after to Bridgeport, CT, where he would stay for five years. Yung Star began freestyling at the age of 12 in ATL, not thinking much of it. He enjoyed listening to music, mainly rap and hip-hop. He began to become known throughout his school for his funny freestyles and found his love for music, rap in particular. As his interest grew, so did his oppurtunities. He met an artist in ATL named Lil' Truck, and formed the Du Squad with him. However, it wouldn't last long or go very far but through Lil' Truck, he met an artist from Sho' nuff Records who would give Yung Star wise advice that he would keep for the rest of his life. At the school he attended, he met another artist by the name of Yung Kwon. They often talked for hours about music and soon enough decided to do a song with each other, plus another artist in the school. They met up at Yung Star's house and that was when he recorded his first song, "No Hook". That was there a group was formed, "The Most Wanted Boyz". It sounded good at the time, but issues started to come up. People were missing studio time and even scheduled shoes. They all came to the agreement that they should split up. Shortly after the break up, Yung Star joined a group named "Two Face Fam". This was the most successful of the four groups he had been in. They did shows in strip clubs, teen clubs, and even cafe's throughout Atlanta. At one of the shoes they were at an underground television show performing and met a club promoter. His name was Haziq (www.haziq.com), and was well known throughout D.C. He helped promote them in the club scene in Atlanta. Soon after, complications occurred once again with arriving to shows on time and to the studio. Yung Star felt he couldn't let other people hold him back from reaching his full potential so he went solo and this is where he is now, "Teen of the South".
